A small-volume nebulizer uses a liquid medication and turns it into a mist that can be inhaled as a breathing treatment. 1.    Compressor nebulizer unit: The compressor unit is the central hub of the nebulizer device. It is connected to a power source and it drives the working of the device.

2.    Mouthpiece/Aerosol Mask: A face mask or a mouthpiece are interchangeably used to get the breathing treatments. Medicine mist can be inhaled through a mask or a mouthpiece. When using a mask, ensure that it rightly fits the face without causing any gaps through which the air could seep out.
